But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.” James 2:18 HCSB
What happens when Sunday morning service is no longer a priority? Does it mean a follower of Jesus is no longer a follower of Jesus? These are important questions. The world is changing and according to stats people, young people in particular, are leaving the church building in droves.
There is a time to question, a time to explore and a time to encourage one another. Is faithfulness defined by how many times someone gathers in a building?
Church is not necessarily a Sunday event rather it is a time for Jesus’ family to gather together to worship God. Whether that is on Sunday morning or on some other day at some other time in some other location is of little consequence. Being faithful and obedient to Jesus is of major consequence.
In my understanding being a follower of Jesus has little to do with attending a special building every Sunday morning.
Faith and works are two sides of the same coin. If you have faith in Christ it will show in your actions.
What do you think?
