A DCT Group is an online coffee and conversation gathering of approximately 2-8 people (maximum) to share stories over a cup of coffee (tea, juice, pop, water or ?). We will meet online at a pre-arranged time for approximately 45 minutes each week, to encourage and support one another.
These groups are not intended to be bible studies. Rather our aim is to be virtual meet up places to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. We will be using a simple structure to help each other enjoy our time together, to practice thankfulness, to share our stories, and encourage one another. Jesus will be our example and His teachings will be our guide.
1. What are you thankful for?
2. What has been a challenge this week?
3. Bring & read a scripture of hope, an inspirational quote or a story that has encouraged you this week (to inspire participants to think deeply and initiate conversation).
4. What is one practical thing that can be done this coming week to bring hope and help to a friend or neighbour?
5. Prayer Requests & Prayer
Even though we share scripture and base everything we do on Jesus and His teachings, these groups are not intended to be exclusive. Our intent is make DCT groups open to any person who wants to meet online, to have meaningful conversation and be an encourager. Our purpose is to be encouragers and helpers.
“All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 MSG
