The early church was one in heart, mind and body. They had a passion for what they believed. They were unified in their purpose. It was family with Christ as the head. Today our world is rapidly changing. This means the church needs to regain its passion to share the good news. The body of believers needs to be unified in its purpose. And finally, the ekklessia needs to be obedient to Christ Jesus in everything it does.
Key Idea: One Heart, One Mind, One Body
“Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.
The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”” Matthew 22:37-38, 40 NLT
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” Acts of the Apostles 1:8 NLT
